Islamabad, April 13, 2022 (PPI-OT):Capital Development Authority is taking all possible steps for uninterrupted supply of water in Islamabad city. In this regard, on the special direction of CDA management, the water supply department has completed the work of upgrading water works and water tankers headquarters in Sector G-10/4, Islamabad. According to the details, the water supply department has completed the repair work of 8 faulty water tankers in three months and made them fully functional.
At present the water supply department has 30 tankers on road. However, all the leaks in the water supply network in Sectors G-10 and G-9 which were causing water loss have also been rectified. This has saved more than 400,000 gallons of water per day. Adding this water to the water system network has also increased the water pressure. Similarly, where five motors were used for water transmission, now three motors are used which has significantly increased energy savings.
In addition, the Department of Water Supply has installed latest tracker systems for monitoring vehicles in the field to promote self-accountability, as well as modernize the performance of staff and vehicles in the field. Can be monitored by Similarly, the process of installing modern water flow meters in water installations is also in full swing so that all the residents can be supplied water in a modern automatic manner as per their requirement and the grievances of maximum number of citizens can be addressed.
Similarly, on the occasion of the month of Ramadan, the management of Capital Development Authority has issued special instructions to the Water Supply Department to provide additional 2 million gallons of water daily from Simli Dam for the convenience of the citizens.
Don’t face water shortage. While in other sectors also water delivery time has been increased to 30 minutes. In this regard, the CDA administration has also appealed to the citizens to be careful in the use of water and to avoid wastage of water so that more and more water can be used by the citizens.
In addition, for the convenience of the citizens, the Water Supply Department of CDA has issued helpline and WhatsApp number 7775444-0335 as well as Complaint Center numbers. In addition, the Water Supply Department further appealed to the citizens to immediately contact the Water Management Wing’s helpline number or WhatsApp number if any person wastes water. Relevant CDA staff will take immediate action and in case of violation will impose heavy fines or challans as per law.
The Water Supply Department has also ensured that the complaints received will be resolved within 24 hours. On this occasion, the Chairman CDA appreciated the initiative of the Water Supply Department and said that the steps being taken for uninterrupted supply of water in the city should be further intensified.
