Islamabad, April 20, 2022 (PPI-OT):CDA has decided to replace water facilities in the city with modern solar system for which PC One worth Rs. 80 crore has been prepared. And will be submitted for approval soon. In which different solar plants ranging from 1 megawatt to 4 and a half megawatts will be installed at different stations of the city. This will not only save energy but also significantly reduce costs.
Similarly, old motors used in water installations which consume a lot of electricity will also be converted to modern technology at a cost of Rs. 50 million so as to avoid maximum loss of energy. Will be published in newspapers soon after approval.
Similarly, generators have been put on standby at various water installations so that uninterrupted supply of water to the citizens would continue even during summer load shedding. Furthermore, under the direction of CDA management, the street lighting department has decided to replace the existing street lights in the city with modern sodium LED lights and solar plants, which will not only save energy but also reduce costs.
