Islamabad, November 02, 2022 (PPI-OT):In an important meeting presided over by the Chairman of Capital Development Authority Captain (Retd) Muhammad Usman Younis, a special directive was issued to eliminate encroachments and illegal constructions. The enforcement department has warned the encroachers through newspapers to voluntarily end all encroachments within 15 days.

On this occasion, the Chairman CDA issued instructions and said that a complete survey of the city of Islamabad should be done to mark how many owners of residential houses and commercial buildings have encroached on the government land.

It has been informed to the public through a public notice that the owners of residential houses and commercial buildings who have established various types of encroachments and illegal constructions on public land including footpaths, green belts, roads etc. Obstruction of passageways, construction of fencing around buildings on CDA land, illegal car parking and car sheds are also included.

Additionally, measures such as illegal security on Capital Development Authority land, including construction of gardens on government land are also included. The Enforcement Department of the Capital Development Authority has issued a public notice warning all owners who have established the above encroachments to voluntarily remove all such encroachments within 15 days of receiving the notice otherwise they will be given further time. Will not be given and CDA will not be responsible for demolition of these encroachments.

Apart from this, such buildings and residential houses which have not yet received NOC from CDA will also be prepared soon and disciplinary action will be initiated soon. Chairman Capital Development Authority Captain (Retired) Muhammad Usman Yunus issued instructions to the Building Control Department and said that all such buildings which have been constructed without permission or are constructed illegally should also prepare a report so that against the occupation mafia.

The operation can be started as soon as possible. In this context, illegal construction and occupation of government land will not be tolerated and no exception will be taken from the occupation mafia.
