CDA Chairman Supervises Renovation of Jinnah Convention Center for Upcoming SCO Meeting

Islamabad: In preparation for the forthcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), inspected the ongoing renovation works at the Jinnah Convention Center this Saturday. Accompanied by Dr. Hafiz Khalid, Member Engineering, and other CDA officers, the chairman reviewed the extensive updates being made to the facility.

According to Capital Development Authority, the renovation at the Jinnah Convention Center is progressing rapidly, with work continuing around the clock in multiple shifts to ensure that the venue meets international standards in time for the SCO meeting. The refurbishment includes major overhauls of the main hall and committee rooms, comprehensive flooring replacements, building repairs, fresh painting, and new glasswork. Improvements are also being made to the furniture and carpets.

Additionally, the exterior of the center is being enhanced with new landscaping, tree planting, horticulture work, and upgraded lighting systems to boost the site’s aesthetic appeal. Chairman Randhawa emphasized that these renovations are critical for transforming the Jinnah Convention Center into a top-tier venue for the SCO summit and future international gatherings.
