CDA Chairman Orders Swift Finalization of New Digital Advertisement Policy for Islamabad

Islamabad: In a significant move to modernize and streamline city advertising, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has directed the completion and rapid implementation of Islamabad’s Advertisement Policy 2024. This policy mandates a shift from traditional advertising methods to digital boards across various city locations.

According to Capital Development Authority, the meeting chaired by Randhawa was attended by senior officers from relevant CDA departments. The new advertisement strategy will replace conventional billboards with digital screens to be installed along major highways, commercial centers, and bus stops, as well as on public transport and pedestrian bridges.

The shift not only aims to modernize the visual aesthetics of the city but also to employ eco-friendly materials in all new digital advertising installations. Inspired by the iconic advertising displays of Times Square in New York, this initiative is expected to enhance the vibrancy and interactive nature of public spaces in Islamabad.

Revenue generated from this digital advertising venture will be allocated towards the city’s upgrading, maintenance, and beautification efforts, ensuring that the project contributes to the overall enhancement of Islamabad’s urban landscape.
