Islamabad: On Monday, July 29, 2024, a delegation from the British High Commission’s Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) met with Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, to discuss potential cooperation in various urban development projects in Islamabad.
According to Capital Development Authority, the discussions covered ongoing and upcoming initiatives aimed at improving the city’s infrastructure and facilities. Chairman Randhawa highlighted opportunities for the FCDO to provide technical assistance in improving revenue generation and resource allocation for development projects. The meeting also addressed collaborative efforts to enhance environmental sustainability through carbon credit opportunities and modernizing the solid waste management system.
The engagement set the groundwork for appointing focal persons from both the CDA and the FCDO to develop a roadmap and set timelines for feasible projects, aiming to transform Islamabad into a more modern city with international cooperation.
