KARACHI, On International Human Rights Day, Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister Justice (Retd.) Maqbool Baqar highlighted the situation in Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) as grave violations of human rights. He emphasized the need for United Nations intervention in these regions to address these violations.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Caretaker Chief Minister appealed to the international community to take immediate action to protect innocent lives from what he termed as Israeli aggression and Indian atrocities. Baqar stressed that safeguarding human rights is a fundamental responsibility of the state.
In his message, Baqar also touched upon the broader aspects of human rights, including the freedom of expression and the right to education and health. He affirmed that these rights are universal and must be equally accessible to all citizens, including those in the Sindh province.
The Caretaker Chief Minister’s statements underscore the ongoing concerns regarding human rights violations in conflicted areas like Palestine and IIOJK. His call for UN intervention and international support reflects the urgency and seriousness of these issues on a global scale.
