Caretaker Prime Minister Prioritizes Highway Infrastructure for Economic Growth

Islamabad, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar has emphasized the vital role of robust infrastructure, particularly highways, in fostering economic development. During a review meeting with the National Highway Authority in Islamabad, he underlined the urgency of constructing and maintaining highways, especially in regions anticipating foreign investment.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister’s meeting focused on the strategic importance of good infrastructure in achieving economic and social development goals. He highlighted the necessity of prioritizing the road network in Balochistan, pointing out the need for rapid progress on the stalled Karachi to Chaman highway project.

Prime Minister Kakar directed the concerned authorities to engage in detailed planning and optimal resource utilization when developing new highways. This approach is intended to maximize the public benefit and ensure that the infrastructure projects align with the country’s broader economic objectives.
