Islamabad, On the peripheries of the Third Belt and Road Forum in Beijing, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar held discussions with several top executives from leading Chinese corporations. This list of attendees included representatives from companies such as Minmetals, MCC, CCCC, CRBC, COFCO, Amer International Group, Power China, China Energy, and China Gezhouba Group. During these interactions, Prime Minister Kakar briefed the executives about Pakistan’s strategies geared towards economic stability and detailed the nation’s approach to sustainable development. Highlighting Pakistan’s foreign investor-friendly policies, he introduced the executives to the newly established Special Investment Facilitation Council.
According to Press Information Department, This initiative aims to streamline foreign investments in Pakistan. Encouraging further collaboration, the Prime Minister invited these executives to explore vast investment arenas in sectors like ICT, renewable energy, textiles, and more within Pakistan. The Chinese corporate leaders reciprocated with details about their current business ventures in Pakistan and expressed eagerness to bolster their presence in collaboration with local partners.
