Islamabad, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar is scheduled to embark on a five-day visit to Davos, Switzerland, starting tomorrow. The purpose of this visit is to participate in the 54th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during his time at the WEF, Prime Minister Kakar will attend three key thematic events. These events focus on ‘Preventing an Era of Global Conflicts,’ ‘Restoring Faith in the Global System,’ and ‘Preventing Economic Fracture.’ Furthermore, he is slated to deliver a keynote address centered around the theme “Trade Tech’s Trillion Dollar Promise.”
In addition to participating in these events, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar will engage in meetings with various government and business leaders. He is also set to lead a special event titled “Invest in Pakistan,” aimed at fostering investment opportunities in the country.
The Prime Minister’s participation in the WEF meeting is a significant moment for Pakistan, as it seeks to assert its role and vision on the global stage, especially in terms of economic and technological development.
Lahore,, Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi affirmed the incumbent government’s commitment to providing essential facilities to the journalist community. This announcement came during a cheque distribution ceremony held in the city.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Solangi emphasized the importance of journalists in society and recognized press clubs as critical pillars of press freedom. He highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to support these institutions. During his address, Solangi expressed gratitude towards the caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi for approving a substantial grant of 90.45 million rupees aimed at enhancing press clubs.
Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, speaking at the event, reiterated that facilitating journalists is a top priority for the government. He encouraged the journalist community to maintain professional standards in their work. Additionally, Caretaker Punjab Minister for Information Aamir Mir spoke about the government’s plans to modernize press clubs through special grants, indicating a significant investment in the infrastructure supporting the journalist community.
