Caretaker PM of Pakistan Emphasizes Desire for Peaceful Relations Post Iranian Attack


Islamabad, In a recent meeting with the Federal Cabinet, the Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, emphasized the country’s commitment to peaceful and cooperative international relations, particularly with its neighbors, following the Iranian attack on January 16, 2024.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs briefed the Cabinet about the circumstances and Pakistan’s response to the attack. The Cabinet praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and the government’s coordinated response. The Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s law-abiding and peaceful nature, expressing a desire to restore and strengthen relations with Iran. He indicated Pakistan’s readiness to reciprocate positive measures from Iran to mend the relationship affected by the recent events.
