ISLAMABAD, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar is representing Pakistan at the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic Summit being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the summit was initially planned as two separate meetings, one for the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the other for the Arab League. However, following consultations with member states of both organizations, the Saudi Foreign Ministry announced the decision to merge the two into a single joint Arab-Islamic summit.
The primary focus of the summit is to discuss the ongoing situation in Gaza. This joint summit signifies a collaborative effort among Arab and Islamic nations to address critical regional issues, highlighting the importance of unity and concerted action in the Muslim world.
