Islamabad, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has commended the police force for their exceptional sacrifices in maintaining peace and combating terrorism in Pakistan. The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation during the 7th Annual Conference of Former Inspector Generals of Police held in Islamabad.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Kakar emphasized the importance of acknowledging and bolstering the police force’s role in curbing crime and eliminating terrorism from the country. He addressed the need to infuse confidence and self-esteem among the police personnel and underscored the necessity of equipping them with appropriate tools to effectively meet modern challenges.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the significant losses Pakistan has endured in its war on terror, citing that ninety thousand lives have been lost. He recognized the police force’s frontline role against lawlessness and terrorism, advocating for reforms that would benefit and protect police officers.
In his address, Prime Minister Kakar paid special tribute to the police officers and Jawans, including Safwat Ghayour and Malik Saad Shaheed, who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. He lauded these individuals as role models and heroes for their dedication to their responsibilities and their contributions to cleansing the society from disruptive elements.
