Karachi, Caretaker Prime Minister AnwaarulHaq Kakar has launched two significant initiatives in Balochistan – the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme and the Electronic Public Procurement System. These initiatives are geared towards empowering the youth and enhancing transparency in public procurements.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Kakar stressed the importance of human resource development as a catalyst for economic transformation in Pakistan. He highlighted the need to align the country’s youth with international job market trends, particularly in areas of modern technology and artificial intelligence, to integrate them into the global supply chain.
The Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme aims to equip the youth with relevant skills to meet the demands of Pakistan’s workforce, which is increasingly sought after in the Gulf States, Europe, and China. Kakar assured the Federal Government’s support for skill development initiatives spearheaded by provincial governments.
In addition to youth development, the Electronic Public Procurement System was inaugurated to bring more transparency and efficiency to public procurement processes in the province. This system is expected to be a significant step towards modernizing and streamlining government transactions.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Kakar also distributed cheques to students enrolled in the skill development programme, symbolizing the government’s commitment to investing in the future of Pakistan’s youth.
These initiatives reflect a concerted effort by the government to foster skill development and technological advancement, addressing key areas crucial for Pakistan’s growth and competitiveness on the international stage.
