Karachi, Caretaker Prime Minister AnwaarulHaq Kakar has inaugurated the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme and the Electronic Public Procurement System in Balochistan, marking significant strides in youth empowerment and enhancing transparency in public procurement processes.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister, during the inauguration, stressed the importance of human resource development as a key driver of economic revolution in Pakistan. He emphasized the necessity of preparing the youth to meet international job market trends and to connect them with the global supply chain.
Prime Minister Kakar noted the high demand for Pakistan’s workforce in friendly countries, particularly in the Gulf States, Europe, and China. He assured the Federal Government’s full support in backing skill development initiatives led by provincial governments. He highlighted the critical need for a workforce that is adept in modern technology and Artificial Intelligence to keep pace with the evolving global job market.
In a gesture to encourage and support students in their skill development endeavors, the Prime Minister distributed cheques to participants of the skill development programme at the event.
The launch of these initiatives represents a significant effort by the caretaker government to nurture a skilled youth workforce and to bring about greater efficiency and transparency in public procurement, aligning with the broader goal of economic development and modernization in Pakistan.
