Islamabad, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, in a recent interview with AJK TV in Muzaffarabad, stressed that the resolution of the Kashmir dispute is fundamental to the fulfillment of Pakistan’s national concept. He reiterated unwavering support from the Pakistani nation to the people of Kashmir in their legitimate struggle for self-determination.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister underlined that Kashmir remains a critical issue in the United Nations Security Council’s resolutions. He emphasized that a UN-mediated plebiscite is the only viable solution to this longstanding dispute. He strongly opposed any unilateral measures, whether through parliamentary actions or judicial decisions, as unacceptable to the Kashmiri people, who are central to this dispute.
During his interview, Prime Minister Kakar reflected on his productive discussions with Kashmiri leaders, noting that a well-coordinated strategy is in development to elevate the Kashmir issue on international platforms. He also acknowledged the significant role the Kashmiri diaspora can play in steering the Kashmir dispute towards its rightful resolution.
The Prime Minister’s comments highlight Pakistan’s continued commitment to advocating for the Kashmiri cause and the integral role of the Kashmir issue in the country’s national identity and foreign policy.
