Caretaker Information Minister Calls for Political Unity Amid Challenges


Islamabad, In a recent interview, Caretaker Minister for Information, Broadcasting, and Parliamentary Affairs Murtaza Solangi emphasized the critical need for political leaders to support reconciliation and mutual respect to navigate the country’s challenges. He highlighted the importance of political and economic stability, urging political parties and assembly members to work together beyond party lines for the nation’s betterment.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Solangi detailed the caretaker government’s achievements in maintaining constitutional responsibilities and striving for improvements across various sectors. He proudly noted the absence of taxpayer funds used for advertisement campaigns and efforts to reduce political tension during the recent election campaign.



The Minister also outlined the interim government’s contributions to the economy, security, and foreign relations. Notable achievements include the peaceful and transparent general elections, supported by security and financial provisions to the Election Commission. On the international front, Solangi pointed to the successful de-escalation of the Pak-Iran conflict and the repatriation of over six hundred thousand illegal foreigners.



Additionally, the caretaker government has made strides in privatization and institutional reforms through the Strategic Investment and Financial Centre (SIFC). With the transition to the elected government underway, Solangi expressed hope for continued reforms and the rule of law to prevail for the nation’s progress.



Addressing the political maneuvering, Solangi dismissed the PTI’s recent letter to the IMF as a political stunt, asserting it would not affect the ongoing IMF process and served only to generate media headlines. His comments reflect a call to action for the newly elected government to lead the country out of its current crises and towards a stable and prosperous future.
