Islamabad, The caretaker government, led by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has successfully completed its task of conducting general elections, announced Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi. During a media briefing on Monday, Solangi highlighted the completion of the electoral process and the pending convening of the National Assembly session, which awaits the release of the elected candidates’ list by the Election Commission.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs is prepared to forward a summary for convening the National Assembly session as soon as the Election Commission publishes the list of successful candidates. Additionally, Solangi disclosed the formation of an investigation committee to address concerns involving the Commissioner of Rawalpindi, with the Election Commission actively pursuing the matter. He emphasized the importance of trust in the country’s institutions and systems during this transitional period.
The caretaker government’s primary role was to ensure a smooth and fair electoral process, leading to the establishment of a new government.
