Islamabad, Shahid Ashraf Tarar, the Caretaker Minister of Communications, has affirmed the caretaker government’s commitment to fully support the Election Commission in conducting transparent elections in Pakistan.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Tarar made this statement during his visit to the control room established in the Ministry of Interior, which is dedicated to monitoring security arrangements and the law and order situation for the upcoming general election. He assured that all necessary measures would be taken to maintain security and order during the elections.
The National Action Plan coordinator briefed the minister in detail about the control room’s functions. Additionally, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has appointed Shahid Ashraf Tarar as Chairman of the Committee for Security and Administrative Affairs of the General Elections, emphasizing the government’s focus on ensuring a smooth and secure electoral process.
