Abu Dhabi, Caretaker Minister for Commerce, Industry, and Investment Gohar Ejaz is currently in Abu Dhabi to participate in the 13th World Trade Organization (WTO) Ministerial Conference. During his visit, Ejaz engaged in discussions with his counterparts from several countries, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, Turkiye, and China, underscoring Pakistan’s efforts to augment its share in global trade.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ejaz highlighted the caretaker government’s initiatives aimed at enhancing Pakistan’s participation in international commerce. Notably, he mentioned a significant 46 percent increase in Pakistan’s exports of goods and services to China, emphasizing the positive impact of growing international trade on the prosperity of Pakistan’s population.
These meetings on the sidelines of the WTO conference served as a platform for Ejaz to advocate for Pakistan’s trade interests and discuss potential areas of cooperation with other nations. The minister’s remarks reflect the caretaker government’s commitment to expanding Pakistan’s global trade footprint and its belief in the economic benefits of increased international commerce.
