Lahore, April 19, 2023 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi visited Central Jail Kot Lakhpat today and 61 inmates of Central Jail Kot Lakhpat were released on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Through the personal efforts of Mohsin Naqvi, Abdul Aleem Khan Foundation paid Rs 11 crore due to the prisoners in terms of dowry and fines. After payment of death and fines, a release ceremony of 61 prisoners was held in Central Jail, Kot Lakhpat. Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi was the chief guest. Mohsin Naqvi also gave Eid to the released prisoners. The released prisoners will be able to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with their families.

Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi while addressing the ceremony held on this occasion said that prisoners should be shown as useful citizens of the society after their release. They should not go out and fight with anyone, but should live as responsible citizens. Mohsin Naqvi announced to give a special package like police martyrs package for jail employees and said that jail employees The salary package of the employees will also be revised.

The promotion cases of the jail employees will be dealt with quickly. He said that more convenience and ease will be given in the meetings of relatives and friends with the prisoners during the Eid holidays.
