Lahore, April 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): A special meeting was held in the Chief Minister’s office under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, in which the performance of the health department and the progress made on special measures were reviewed.
Mohsin Naqvi ordered the completion of construction, renovation and expansion projects of hospitals in Punjab on priority basis and expressed his satisfaction on the timely treatment of heart patients through drop-and-shift.
The meeting was told that the emergency wards of government hospitals will be monitored through CCTV cameras and a monitoring room will be established for video and audio recording. The proposal was reviewed and the proposal to increase the Health Professional Allowance was considered.
The meeting was informed during the briefing that the health screening process of 52700 prisoners in Punjab jails has been completed and steps have been taken to treat the sick prisoners. Special Education Health screening of 30,000 special children has also been completed. Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed to conduct screening every three months.
It was further informed in the briefing that 200 more ambulances will be provided for the transfer of pregnant mothers to hospitals.
