Lahore, September 06, 2023 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi visited Shahdara Flyovers and Nawaz Sharif Interchange Bedian Road Underpass projects. About 84% of Shahdara flyovers project while about 40% of Nawaz Sharif Interchange Bedian Road Underpass project has been completed. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi inspected the ongoing construction work on both projects and reviewed the progress. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi witnessed the ongoing work on the construction of protective walls of Shahdara flyovers. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi shook hands with the workers working on the project. And exhorted them to work harder. The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction with the construction work of Shahdara Flyovers project and directed the traffic coming from Gujranwala to be diverted through alternative service road.

Mohsin Naqvi said that the service road should be immediately leveled and restored for traffic and the police should manage the traffic in the best way. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi said. Give necessary instructions to DGLDA and the contractor to complete both the projects within the stipulated period. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed to speed up the work on the Nawaz Sharif Interchange Bedian Road Underpass project. He said that the completion of the projects will provide convenience to the citizens. The problem of traffic jam will be solved permanently. The timely completion of the Shahdara flyovers project will solve the major problem of traffic from the main entrance and exit of the city.

Commissioner and DG LDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Chief Engineer LDA and the contractor gave a briefing about the progress and completion of the projects. Work is going on day and night. The completion of the Shahdara Chowk flyovers project will facilitate the movement of 3 lakh vehicles per day, while the construction of the underpass on Bedian Road, Nawaz Sharif Interchange will facilitate 120,000 vehicles per day. Thousands of vehicles will be benefited. CCPO Lahore and Deputy Commissioner were also present on this occasion.
