Captain Hamza Humayun Takes Charge as SSP Operations Safe City


Islamabad: Captain (R) Hamza Humayun has assumed the role of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Safe City, marking a new chapter in the leadership of the Safe City Division. In his new capacity, Captain Humayun chaired a meeting with branch in-charges to assess the division’s daily operations.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, during the meeting, Captain Humayun outlined strategies to enhance the security of the federal capital using the Safe City camera network. He emphasized the importance of timely identification and surveillance of criminal elements, effective action against them, and the eradication of crime. He also highlighted the need to improve police response to emergency calls received on the “Pucar-15” helpline and other communication channels.



Furthermore, Captain Humayun stressed the significance of providing citizens with reliable guidance, ensuring traffic flow, monitoring police patrol vehicles through a tracker system, and maintaining effective communication via the wireless control system. He reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property through the Safe City network remains a top priority and encouraged residents to report emergencies promptly through available helplines and applications.
