Capt. Ali Raza Qazi Takes Helm as SSP Operations in Islamabad

Islamabad: Capt. (retd) Ali Raza Qazi has officially taken charge as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations in Islamabad. He is from the 44th Common and brings with him extensive experience from both military and police services.

Prior to his police career, Capt. Qazi served in the Pakistan Army for nine years and participated in Operation Zarb-e-Azb. His contributions during the operation earned him a commendation certificate.

Capt. Qazi holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and has previously held key roles in the Balochistan and Punjab Police.

Upon assuming his new role, Capt. Qazi conducted an introductory meeting with Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) within the Operations division. He directed officers to ensure the arrest of criminal elements, including proclaimed offenders and individuals with criminal records.

He emphasized the need for a robust crackdown on gangs involved in vehicle theft and instructed that police patrols be made more effective to enhance their visibility and deterrent presence.

Capt. Qazi also ordered strict measures against illegal weapons possession and drug-related activities.

He stated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property is the top priority for the Islamabad Police, pledging to utilize all available resources to uphold the rule of law and reduce crime.
