Islamabad: Islamabad police apprehended 25 suspects in various crackdowns across the capital, confiscating a substantial quantity of narcotics and firearms. Thirteen individuals were detained on multiple criminal charges by teams from the Karachi Company, Sumbal, Tarnol, Sangjani, Nilore, Phulgran, and Shahzad police stations. Authorities seized 3,696 grams of heroin, six pistols, and a rifle with ammunition. Cases have been filed against the suspects, and investigations are underway.
In a separate operation targeting fugitives and absconders, law enforcement captured 13 additional offenders. These actions are part of a continuing effort directed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to combat unlawful activities and maintain order within the city.
The Islamabad Police Department emphasized its dedication to safeguarding residents and pledged to suppress any disruptions to public safety. Maintaining peace and citizen security remains the department’s primary objective.
