Islamabad, June 20, 2022 (PPI-OT):The administration of the Federal Development Agency (Capital Development Authority) is taking all possible steps keeping in view the dangers of rains and floods in the monsoon season so that the citizens can Don’t face difficulties. In this regard, the process of cleaning of Srinagar Highway, F-8, F-Six, Islamabad slums, Dhobi Ghat, G-Seven and other drains is in full swing while cleaning of several drains has been completed and the rest. Drain cleaning work will be completed soon.

In this regard, on the direction of the management of the Capital Development Authority, all the drains across the city have been cleaned and broken by the concerned staff of Sanitation, Road and Marketing, MPO, Environment, City Sewerage and other departments. The work of clearing the culverts has also been started expeditiously including removal of trees, opening of closed sewerage lines to remove possible obstructions in drainage. And the citizens should not face any hardship during the monsoon rains.

Emergency teams have also been formed by the concerned departments keeping in view the dangers of monsoon rains and floods so that timely steps can be taken to deal with any emergency situation. On this occasion, the CDA management has also issued orders to the staff of all the concerned departments to be on 24-hour high alert in view of the flood situation in the monsoon and to ensure 100% attendance of the staff.
