Canada rejects India’s travel guidelines

Ottawa, September 21, 2023 (PPI-OT): Canada has rejected the travel guidelines issued by the Indian government for Indian citizens residing in Canada.

Canadian Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc has reacted to India’s travel advisory and said that Canada is a safe country for all people.

After the tension between India and Canada after the killing of Khalistan Movement leader Hardeep Singh in Canada, Canada issued a travel advisory for its citizens asking them not to travel to occupy Jammu and Kashmir. Now India has also retaliated and has issued a travel advisory for its citizens.

According to Indian media, in the advisory issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Indians there have been advised to be cautious due to the increasing anti-India activities in Canada.
