Islamabad, February 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):Canada has expressed interest in investing in different programs related to women empowerment in Pakistan. The interest was shown by Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan Wendy Gilmour, who called on Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar in Islamabad. Appreciating the establishment of National Youth Council by Pakistan, the Canadian High commission said women’s participation in Kamyab Jawan Program is gratification.
Speaking on the occasion, Usman Dar briefed the Canadian High Commissioner about various initiatives of Kamyab Jawan Program and their performance for encouraging an entrepreneurial culture and creating employment opportunities in the country. He said, under the Kamyab Jawan Programme, over 32 billion soft loans have been disbursed among the youth for establishment of 22,000 businesses. During the meeting, matters pertaining to government’s initiatives for youth development in Pakistan, including the Kamyab Jawan Programme, came under discussion.
