California Senate Honors Long-standing Pak-US Relations Ahead of Pakistan’s Independence Day

Islamabad: In a significant gesture underscoring deep-rooted ties, the California Senate has unanimously passed a resolution to commemorate the enduring relationship between Pakistan and the United States, coinciding with the upcoming Independence Day of Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the resolution, presented by State Senator Josh Newman and titled “Pakistani-American Relations,” celebrates the multifaceted contributions of Pakistani Americans to American society. The document highlights the positive impacts made by individuals of Pakistani descent across various sectors including finance, technology, law, medicine, education, sports, media, arts, military, and government.

The resolution also reflects on Pakistan’s historical support and inspiration to global communities in their quests for liberty, justice, and equality. Pakistan’s Consul General in Los Angeles, Asim Ali Khan, remarked on the resolution as a testament to the strong and lasting bonds of friendship that have been woven into the fabric of both nations over decades.
