Karachi, Cadet College Petaro commemorated its 61st Parents’ Day with an impressive ceremony attended by the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, as the Chief Guest. The Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh reported that the event showcased the college’s achievements and developments in education, sports, and co-curricular activities.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, while addressing the gathering, lauded the quality of infrastructure, facilities, faculty, and the learning environment at Cadet College Petaro. He emphasized the vital role of education in the country’s progress and prosperity. The Admiral also recognized the collaborative efforts of the Government of Sindh, Commander Karachi, college administration, and faculty in enhancing the educational standards at the college. He advised the cadets to focus not only on education but also on character building.
The Principal of Cadet College Petaro, Commodore (Retd) Mushtaq Ahmed, welcomed the guests and presented the annual college report. He highlighted the cadets’ remarkable performance in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities, and discussed the development works completed during the year and the ongoing progress at the college.
During the ceremony, the Chief Guest awarded prizes to cadets who demonstrated outstanding performance in various disciplines. He commended the cadets for their immaculate turnout during the annual parade, horse-riding, tent-pegging, gymnastics, physical training show, and their skills displayed in the exhibition.
The event was well-attended by a large number of civil and military officials, parents, and other dignitaries, reflecting the college’s esteemed position in the community and its commitment to nurturing future leaders.
