Cadet Arif Ullah Martyred in Attack at Lakki Marwat Mosque


Lakki Marwat: A tragic incident unfolded during Maghrib prayers on Friday when a mosque in the district of Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was attacked, resulting in the martyrdom of Cadet Arif Ullah and impacting numerous worshippers.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Cadet Arif Ullah, a gentleman under training at the Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, was on leave and participating in prayers at his hometown mosque. During the attack, he responded courageously to the assailants’ gunfire but was tragically martyred in the ensuing violence. The nineteen-year-old cadet’s actions saved many lives, exemplifying the commitment and bravery of security forces personnel dedicated to combating terrorism in the country.



The attack, characterized by its vicious targeting of worshippers, has been condemned by various officials, including President Asif Ali Zardari. In his statement, President Zardari denounced the assault as contrary to the teachings of Islam and paid tribute to Cadet Ullah’s heroic sacrifice. He extended his condolences to Ullah’s family and prayed for the departed’s soul.



This incident has intensified national resolve against terrorism, highlighting the sacrifices made by security forces to ensure peace and security across Pakistan.
