Islamabad, August 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):Senior-Superintendent of Police (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer has claimed that Islamabad Police have recovered a cache of narcotics during a grand targeted search and combing operation in Dore Village in the suburbs of the capital city, a police spokesman said on Sunday.

Under instructions from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil Ur Rehman and DIG Operations Afzaal Ahmad Kausar, an operation against those involved in ugly business of drug smuggling and dealing was conducted. This operation was participated by SP Saddar Farooq Amjad Butter, SDPO Saddar Sajjad Hussain Bukhari, Station House Officers (SHOs), and officials from different police stations of Saddar Zone.

A total of 100 houses were screened. A total of 6 narcotics peddlers with previous criminal history were arrested while 5600 grams of heroin and 2000 grams of Hashish was recovered. The accused have been identified as Nawaz Khan s/o Ghulam Mustafa r/o Dorey Village, Hamza Khan s/o Haji Kuser r/o Dorey Village tarnol Islamabad, Sajjad Hussain s/o Ghulam Mustafa r/o Dorey Village, Yasir Mehmood s/o M. Ashiq r/o village Galla tehsil kahota district Rawalpindi, Muhammad Saeed s/o Karam Khan r/o Kamrial tehsil Pindi Ghyab Attock and Zahid Mir Zaman s/o Mir Zaman r/o Ahmed Nager Dargah Tehri Gali No. 20 Rawalpindi.

IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil Ur Rehman and DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmad Kausar have appreciated this performance. Syed Mustafa Tanveer has said that Islamabad police would leave no stone unturned to root out this menace and the future of the young generation would be protected by curbing it. He said that such operations would continue in future and such networks would have to face action as per law.
