BYD Launches Electric Vehicles in Pakistan with Federal Support

Islamabad: BYD, a leader in electric vehicles and renewable energy solutions, has officially entered the Pakistani market with a launch event in Islamabad today. The event featured a keynote address by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, who emphasized the alignment of BYD’s initiatives with Pakistan’s sustainability and economic goals.

According to Press Information Department, Senator Aurangzeb highlighted BYD’s commitment to advanced technology and environmental responsibility. “BYD’s entry into our market is not just about introducing new vehicles; it’s about embracing a sustainable future and aligning with Pakistan’s environmental goals, of achieving energy efficiency,” said Aurangzeb. He further noted the government’s support for green technology advancements, which are expected to boost the local economy through job creation and technological enhancements in the automotive sector.

The Minister also pointed out that BYD’s presence could increase Pakistan’s export capabilities in the electric vehicle sector and help balance the trade deficit. He assured that the government and industry stakeholders are committed to collaborative efforts that will further the country’s sustainability and economic stability.
