Brutal Killing of Muslim Man in Kanpur Sparks Outrage

Kanpur: In a shocking incident in Kanpur’s Shastri Chowk area, a 30-year-old Muslim man named Sahil Paswan was beaten to death with iron rods by a group of individuals in broad daylight. The assault, which took place on a busy street, was recorded and the video has since gone viral, intensifying public fury and highlighting communal tensions in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the attack on Sahil Paswan was reportedly linked to his sister, Muskan Paswan, who is a key witness in a criminal case against several history-sheeters currently out on bail. The assailants, identified in the murder charges, forcibly removed Sahil from his residence before publicly assaulting him. The severity of the assault led to his death shortly after he was admitted to a local hospital.

The police were alerted and responded promptly to the scene. Sahil was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The incident occurred just a day after the victim’s family had lodged a formal complaint at the local police station concerning threats they were receiving, which paints a grim picture of the events leading up to Sahil’s death.

In response to the murder, Kanpur police have taken swift action, arresting four individuals: Vishal, Vivek, Vikram, and Akshay, all of whom are now facing murder charges. The police investigation is ongoing, with efforts to ensure justice for Sahil and his family.
