Srinagar, November 17, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations continue to condemn the cold-blooded murder of four innocent civilians by Indian troops in Hyderpora area of Srinagar.
The spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), headed by incarcerated Shabbir Ahmed Shah, in a statement issued in Srinagar said the cold-blooded murder of hapless Kashmiris is a part of Modi government’s nefarious game plan to eliminate the indigenous population.
He said the ongoing killing spree in the occupied territory has created a sense of fear amongst the Kashmiris who have been facing the brunt of brutal suppression at the hands of Indian occupation forces for the past several decades. The DFP spokesman said that it was high time that the international community should hold the New Delhi accountable for the crimes being committed by Indian troops against the people of IIOJK.
Hurriyat leader, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, in a statement in Srinagar said killing of innocent civilians in fake encounters is the decades-old war tactic being used by Indian troops in IIOJK to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle. He said that for the last several decades Indian forces’ personnel were committing heinous crimes against humanity and the worst human rights violations in the occupied territory.
The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League spokesman in his statement said that such killings were taking place in IIOJK every other day but it was unfortunate that no country or the UN or its concerned institutions were taking serious cognizance of Indian brutalities on the civilian population of the occupied territory.
He said that the UN Security Council, General Assembly and other world bodies should call their sessions on the grim situation of IIOJK and force India to honour the UN’s Charter, resolutions, and rights of the Kashmiri people.
A spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement in a statement in Srinagar deplored that Indian troops had intensified their atrocities in the occupied territory and were killing innocent youth during the so-called cordon and search operations.
He said that the Indian Army was committing genocide of Kashmiris to convert the Muslim majority in the territory into a minority. He urged New Delhi to stop its brutalities in IIOJK and resolve the Kashmir dispute by giving the Kashmiris their right to self-determination.
The Jammu and Kashmir Political Resistance Movement (JKPRM) Chairman, Jameel Ahmad, and General Secretary, Dr Musaib Ahmad, visited the families of martyred Altaf Ahmad and Dr Mudasir Gul and expressed solidarity with them.
Speaking on the occasion, they said that Indian fascist rulers and Army General have given their nod to the Indian forces to kill innocent civilians and approved it as their state policy. The JKPRM has also called for complete strike in IIOJK on Friday against the civilian killings, Indian state terrorism and illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.
Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said the Hindutva government of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its atrocities on the oppressed Kashmiris and life and honour of people are not safe in the occupied territory. He said Indian troops brutally kill innocent people and do not even hand over the dead bodies to their families to inflict further pain on them.
The spokesman said India has been playing this game of death and destruction in the occupied territory since 1947 but it could not shake the Kashmiris’ spirit for freedom from its illegal occupation. He urged the Kashmiris to further strengthen the unity in their ranks to thwart the nefarious plans of the enemy against the freedom movement.
Meanwhile, APHC-AJK leader and Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front, Altaf Hussain Wani, in a statement issued in Islamabad termed the killing of civilians by Indian troops during fake encounter in IIOJK as a big challenge for the world conscience. He demanded an independent inquiry into the incidents of the Indian state terrorism in IIOJK.
He said that such heart wrenching incidents of violence would continue to bruise the hearts and minds of the Kashmiris unless the perpetrators involved in the dastardly acts of violence were brought to book.
