BRUSSELS, Ali Raza Syed, Chairman of Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU), commemorated Jammu Martyrdom Day (November 6, 1947), emphasizing the significant contribution of Jammu’s martyrs to the Kashmiri freedom movement.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed acknowledged the continuous sacrifices made by the people of occupied Kashmir in their struggle for liberation from Indian occupation. He noted that the history of Jammu and Kashmir is marked by unparalleled sacrifices, especially by those in the occupied territory who still face severe Indian atrocities.
Syed called on the international community, including the United Nations and European Union, to address the dire human rights situation in Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed the world community’s crucial role in resolving the Kashmir dispute for the peace and prosperity of South Asia.
The Chairman of Kashmir Council reaffirmed the commitment to voice opposition against ongoing Indian brutalities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOK) and urged global actors to engage in a just resolution of the Kashmir issue.
