Brussels Hosts Discussion on Boosting Manufacturing through Science Diplomacy


Brussels, The Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels, together with the international NGO PATH EU and the EUTOPIA University Consortium, held a panel discussion focused on enhancing manufacturing capabilities via science diplomacy, coinciding with European Public Health Week.



According to Press Information Department, Ambassador Amna Baloch opened the session by underscoring the pivotal role of science diplomacy in connecting global entities and enhancing public health outcomes. She advocated for robust technology transfers as essential avenues to achieving health equity. Panelists, including Dr. Rolando Tomasini from PATH Belgium, Eric Piaget of the EUTOPIA University Alliance, and Nienke Buisman from the EU Commission, explored policies and frameworks to bolster international health infrastructure, particularly in less developed nations.



The discussion also featured case studies on successful technology transfers and collaborative efforts that exemplify the benefits of science diplomacy. The event reiterated the commitment to leveraging international cooperation to strengthen global health systems and ended with a call to continue such efforts to address public health challenges worldwide.
