Lahore: A high-level delegation from the British Police and High Commission visited the Central Police Office, engaging in discussions with IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar on strengthening collaborative efforts in combating crime. The delegation, led by Deputy Manager Strategy and Development Graeme Wallace, included senior officials such as DIG Hamayun Bashir Tarar and Senior Policing Advisor Darren Colin Tomkins.
According to Punjab Police, the meeting focused on sharing criminal records through Interpol to apprehend dangerous criminals, as well as addressing the challenges faced by Punjab Police in dealing with terrorism and extremism. Both parties expressed their commitment to enhancing their working relationship. The delegation also toured the Central Police Office museum and various departments, with the visit concluding in an exchange of souvenirs between Dr. Usman Anwar and the British delegation. Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Choudhry and other senior police officials were present during the visit.
