Islamabad, April 28, 2022 (PPI-OT):British High Commissioner H.E. Dr. Christian Turner and British Council Country Director Mr. Ramzan met with the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Rana Tanveer Hussain today at his office. The both sides discussed in details the ongoing educational cooperation between two countries including flagship higher education program “Pak-UK Education Gateway”, FCDO’s technical assistance for formulation of National Curriculum and collaboration for teachers training.
They also discussed British Council support in setting up connecting class rooms, bringing back five thousands out of school children, establishing linkages of NAVTTC with the industry, TVET sector and apprenticeship program. Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Rana Tanveer Hussain while commending the U.K’s support for Pakistan said that Pakistanis feel very comfortable with Britishers and consider U.K as their second home. Federal Education Minister reiterated his resolve to further strengthen the educational ties in all areas with U.K.
On formal invitation of British High Commissioner to Federal Education Minister for Joining the World Education Forum taking place in 2022 in UK, Rana Tanveer Hussain said he would be happy to find this opportunity to showcase the Pakistan Education system and its values at the world largest gathering of Education and skill ministers.
British High Commissioner H.E. Christian Turner has stated that UK wants to work as closely as they can with Pakistan in all areas of education. The both sides reiterated their firm resolve to enhance the educational partnership as stronger and deeper as possible. The meeting was marked with traditional warmth and mutual trust from both sides.
