Islamabad: A delegation comprising Lord Shafaq Mohammad, Barrister Tanveer Hussain, and Chaudhary Mehboob Hussain met with Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to discuss significant issues impacting Pakistan and its diaspora in the United Kingdom. The discussions centered on the Pakistani community in the UK, the situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and relief efforts in flood-affected areas.
During the meeting, Lord Shafaq Mohammad, a member of the British House of Lords, informed the Acting President about his efforts to address India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty in the House of Lords.
Acting President Gilani expressed appreciation for the delegation’s commitment to raising awareness on issues of national concern. He acknowledged their ongoing support for the Pakistani community abroad and their involvement in relief and rehabilitation initiatives in affected regions.
