Brazil parliamentary friendship group meets today

Islamabad, January 05, 2023 (PPI-OT): Convener Pakistan – Brazil Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG), Rana Qasim Noon, and MNA chaired a briefing session of Pakistan – Brazil Parliamentary Friendship Group today, the 5th January, 2023 at 1100 hours, at Parliament Lodges, Islamabad.

The entire spectrum of relations was reviewed and specific areas of opportunities were identified for further strengthening bilateral trade cooperation. Convener Pakistan – Brazil PFG Rana Qasim Noon has said that relationship between Pakistan and Brazil are marked by cordiality and there is a considerable potential to boost trade between the two countries.

Rana Qasim Noon stated that in order to know the ongoing bilateral trade engagements between the two countries and to discuss the process of enhancing trade and economic cooperation, it was important to arrange the briefing session from the Ministry of Commerce. He further said that the Parliamentary Friendship Groups could play a pivotal role in promoting parliamentary relations and the existing bilateral and trade relations between Pakistan and Brazil could strengthen further through mutual cooperation and understanding.

Convener Pakistan – Brazil PFG advised the officers from Commerce Ministry to focus on increasing Pakistan’s exports to Brazil and attracting Brazilian investment for joint ventures. He said that with frequent exchanges of parliamentary delegations, the cooperation in different sectors would further increase. The importance of early start of negotiation with MERCOSUR partners was also discussed during the briefing session.
