Books Celebrated at Ceremony Highlighting Contributions to Balochi Literature

Gwadar: A ceremony was held at the Government Syed Zahoor Shah Hashmi Degree College to honor the contributions of writers to Balochi literature. The event featured the release of two noteworthy books, “Brannakken Roodan” by Professor Irshad Alam and “Shetan wa Janak” by Professor Abdullah Shohaz. The ceremony was presided over by the college’s principal, Prof. Naseer Ahmed, with Member Provincial Assembly Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman serving as the chief guest.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the event was attended by notable figures, including Suleman Hashim from the Gwadar Press Club, Haq Do Movement Central General Secretary Hafeez Kiazai, renowned Balochi poet Professor Younus Naseer, and Professor Adil Baloch, Principal of Government Inter College Pushkan. Member Provincial Assembly Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman commended the authors for their scholarly contributions, describing their works as significant gifts to lovers of the Balochi language.

During the ceremony, Urdu poet Prof. Khayyam Sana shared insights on Professor Irshad Alam’s book, while renowned Balochi novelist Aslam Tigrani remarked on the potential of these works to promote and stabilize Balochi language and culture. Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman also highlighted the honor of having five book authors, including Professors Alam and Shohaz, serving as lecturers at the college. The audience acknowledged the writers’ efforts in advancing Balochi literature, appreciating their dedication and scholarly achievements.
