Abu Dhabi: The Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi hosted an event to launch “Zabaan-e-Yara-e-Man Turkey” (The Language of My Beloved is Turkey), a book by Dr. Aslam Tasawar Bhutta. This gathering brought together literary figures and members of the Pakistani diaspora to celebrate cultural exchange and literary achievement.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, praised the book’s exploration of Turkey’s history and culture, noting it reflects Dr. Bhutta’s appreciation for language and heritage. He mentioned that the book inspired him to revisit Turkey and commended the charitable aspect of its sales, which benefit the Akhuwat Foundation in Pakistan.
The Ambassador also acknowledged Mr. Sarmad Khan for promoting Urdu literature at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2025. He highlighted the essential role of culture in enhancing Pakistan’s global image.
During a panel discussion, Dr. Hassan Khalil described the book as a “heart-touching piece of literature” and a “beautiful gift” to readers worldwide. Dr. Shabeena Aslam, the author’s sister, emphasized Dr. Bhutta’s generosity and the book’s success due to its literary and charitable contributions.
Mr. Arif Anees highlighted the book’s celebration of the Muslim world’s legacy and noted UNESCO’s honorary doctorate bestowed upon Dr. Bhutta. The session was moderated by Mr. Salman, who facilitated discussions on the book’s impact and significance.
