Body of Missing Youth Discovered in Srinagar, Investigation Underway

Srinagar: The body of Roman Nazir, a 22-year-old who had been reported missing since September 28, was found in Srinagar, in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The discovery adds a grim chapter to the family’s search since he disappeared earlier last week.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Nazir’s body was recovered from a nalla at Pahloo Brein in the Nishat area of the city. The family had filed a missing person report at the Nishat Police Station on October 1, initiating a search that concluded tragically with the recovery of his body.

Local authorities have since moved the body to a hospital in Srinagar to complete legal formalities and further investigate the circumstances surrounding Nazir’s death. The case has drawn attention to the broader issues of safety and security in the region, which continue to be of significant concern for residents.
