BJP leader chained 5 waiters on suspicion of theft in UP’s Farrukhabad

Farrukhabad, December 17, 2022 (PPI-OT):A video embarrassing to humanity has come to light from Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh according to which, a local leader of Bharatiya Janata Party took five poor youth as hostages for 12 hours and locked them in chains on the suspicion of mobile theft. The contractor of a waiter, a resident of the city’s locality, had taken the waiters there for a wedding ceremony at a guest house in Kamalganj. The owner of a cold store and local BJP leader Nitesh Maheshwari also came along with his family for the wedding ceremony.

It is being told that the waiters fed them food. After this, taking trips etc. started cleaning there. While the BJP leader left there with his family but came back after a while and said that his wife’s mobile was stolen here. He asked waiters but they said they knew nothing about the mobile phone. On this, the BJP leader put the five waiters in a car and went to the Cold Store and chained their feet.

According to the report, someone reported the incident to the police. The police reached the spot and freed the waiters and took them to the police station. The police said the victims have not filed a written complaint yet and action will be taken on receipt of the written complaint.
