BJP Government’s Extremist Policies Criticized by Senate

Islamabad: The Senate convened to discuss the recent terrorist attack on a school bus in Khuzdar, with members strongly condemning the violence and attributing it to Indian proxies.

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar accused the Indian government, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), of supporting extremist activities in Pakistan. He expressed concern that such policies threaten not only South Asia but global peace and security. Kakar also spoke about the treatment of minorities, particularly Muslims, in India.

Shahzaib Durrani criticized India for targeting innocent children in Khuzdar after its alleged failure to confront Pakistan’s military forces. He urged the international community to address what he described as Indian terrorism.

Faisal Vawda advocated for an increase in Pakistan’s defense budget, citing India’s aggressive stance as justification.

Irfan-ul-Haque Siddiqui claimed that India is supplying resources and weapons to terrorist groups operating in Pakistan, calling for these groups to be dealt with harshly.

Sherry Rehman remarked that the Khuzdar attack has deeply affected the nation and described India’s aggressive actions as a regional and global threat.

Aimal Wali Khan emphasized the need to fully implement the National Action Plan against terrorism.

The Senate session began with a prayer for those who lost their lives in the Khuzdar attack.
