Jammu, November 03, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, resistance leader and Chairman of United Peace Alliance Mir Shahid Saleem has strongly condemned BJP-led Hindutva regime in India for encouraging hate crimes against minorities especially Muslims in India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing media persons in Jammu, Mir Shahid Saleem said that recent remarks made by senior BJP leader Vikram Singh Randhawa wherein he called for the genocide of Kashmiri Muslims and ridiculed the Muslim prayers are not an aberration but a policy of communal BJP.
He said several senior BJP leaders in the past have been making provocative and derogatory statements against Muslims and Islam but no action was taken either by their party high command, law enforcing agencies or the judiciary. He said after abrogation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, the communal Hindutva forces have let loose a reign of terror against the Kashmiri Muslims.
Mir Shahid Saleem called upon the Indian Supreme Court, minority commission, especially the Indian civil society to come forward and stand with the oppressed people of Kashmir. He said the communal BJP at the centre was hell bent upon changing the Muslim majority character of the Jammu and Kashmir by settling the people from Indian states in Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Peace Foundation Chairman, Muhammad Hanif Kalas in a statement also denounced the anti-Muslim statement of BJP leader Vikram Singh Randhawa. He said that he gave the statement as per BJP’s policy. Kalas said that the dispute status of Jammu and Kashmir cannot be altered through such nonsense statements.
