Agartala (India), October 24, 2021 (PPI-OT):Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP), Sushmita Dev, and 10 other party members were attacked by the members of ruling BJP at Amtali in western Tripura. In a complaint at the Amtali police station, the Trinamool leaders said that their car was damaged when the BJP workers attacked them during an outreach programme.

While Sushmita Dev was injured, mobile and other valuables of the accompanying Trinamool Congress workers were looted by the attackers, a party statement said. According to West Tripura district police chief, Manik Lal Das, the Trinamool has lodged a complaint with police who are now probing the incident.
