Islamabad, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, a senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter and Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League, has accused the BJP-led Indian government of ramping up its propaganda efforts against the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, Rehmani expressed concerns that the Indian government is exploiting global distractions, such as the ongoing crises in the Middle East and Ukraine, to intensify operations against Kashmiri populations. He stated that the Modi administration is actively targeting Kashmiris, compromising their safety and security, and seizing their properties under the guise of heightened security measures.
Rehmani emphasized the severe impact of these policies, describing the situation in IIOJK as one of widespread horror and insecurity. He reiterated the Kashmiris’ call for the implementation of United Nations resolutions aimed at resolving the Kashmir dispute permanently.
Further, Rehmani urged the United Nations to establish a commission to investigate the conditions faced by Kashmiris, highlighting the need for international oversight in addressing these issues.
